Visit with Santa

ACME — Santa and Mrs. Claus will greet children, listen to their Christmas wishes and hand out candy canes from 6-8 p.m. Saturdays, Dec. 7, 14 and 21, at the Grand Traverse Resort and Spa’s Gallery of Shops on the lobby level.

Cottage Coffee

TRAVERSE CITY — Radio personality Michael O’Shea from WCCW-FM will discuss his career in broadcasting at the Tuesday, Dec. 10, Cottage Coffee program.

O’Shea’s program titled “Let The Good Times Roll” starts at 10 a.m. at Hawthorn Cottage at the Grand Traverse Pavilions off South Elmwood Avenue. There is no charge and the public is welcome. Call 932-3027 to learn more.

‘Meet Mr. Dickens’

BELLAIRE — Actor, author, filmmaker and playwright Mark McPherson from Grosse Ile, Mich., will portray Charles Dickens for a performance of “Meet Mr. Dickens” sponsored by the Friends of the Bellaire Library.

The performance starts at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8, at the Bellaire Area Senior’s Activity Center, 102 Maple St. Admission is free and refreshments will be served. For details call the library, 533-8814.

WSH reunion

TRAVERSE CITY — The West Senior High School class of 2003 will host its 10-year reunion on Saturday, Dec. 28.

The reunion will be held from 6-10 p.m. at InsideOut Gallery, 229 Garland St. Advance tickets are $20; $30 at the door (cash or check). There will be light hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar. Ticketholders receive one drink voucher.

CHS Hall of Fame

TRAVERSE CITY — Nominations for Traverse City Central High School’s Hall of Fame are due by 3 p.m. Friday, Jan. 31.

The Hall of Fame recognizes former students and staff who have made an exceptional contribution to society, achieved exceptional success, brought honor and prestige to Central High School and are outstanding role models for CHS students.
