Baby Pantry

Pet adopt-a-thon

TRAVERSE CITY — AC Paw will hold its November Adopt-a-Thon at Petsmart, 2544 Crossing Circle.

Adoption hours are 6-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15, 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, and 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 17. Dogs will be at the store on Saturday.

‘Cabin Fever’ talk

FRANKFORT — The Elizabeth Lane Oliver Center for the Arts will sponsor a series of “Cabin Fever” Artist Talks in conjunction with its Member Exhibition and Invitational.

The first talk in the series will start at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15, at the center for the arts, 132 Coast Guard Road. Jerry Gretzinger will discuss his monumental mixed-media map art project made up of more than 2,500 8- by 10-inch panels. The series continues on Nov. 22, Dec. 6, 13 and 20, and Jan. 3. Hunters’ supper

KINGSLEY — The Summit City Grange will host a Hunters’ Supper on Saturday, Nov. 16.

The meal will be served at 5:30 p.m. at the grange hall, 3060 Factory St. The cost is $8 for adults, $4 for children ages 4 to 10 and free for children 3 and younger. There also will be a raffle drawing at 7:30 p.m. For details, call 263-4499.

Book group meets

TRAVERSE CITY — The Peninsula Community Library’s Pageturners book group will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, at the library, 2699 Island View Road.
