'Peepers' program

Traverse City — Boardman River Nature Center's Peepers Preschool Program continues into December.

The program for parents and their children ages 3-5 meets from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesdays at the nature center, 1450 Cass Road.

Each session features stories, crafts, music and outdoor activities. Adults and children should come dressed for the weather. Upcoming topics are "Terrific Turkeys" on Nov. 20 and "Is It Alive?" Nov. 27. For details or to register, call 941-0960 or visit www.natureiscalling.org.

DAR meeting

Traverse City — The Job Winslow Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution will meet at 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 17, at the Elks Lodge on Bay St. The program will include guest speaker Amanda Holmes, executive director of the Fishtown Preservation Society.
