Aging Commission

Traverse City — The public is invited to the Tuesday, Nov. 6, meeting of the Grand Traverse County Commission on Aging.

Contra dance

Traverse City — Fog Harbor will play at the Saturday, Nov. 10, Bayside Travellers Dance Society contra dance.

Holiday arts, crafts

East Jordan — The Jordan River Arts Council will hold its 22nd Annual Holiday Arts and Crafts Fair on Saturday, Nov. 10.

The juried show and sale will be open 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at East Jordan High School. It features more than 50 artists and craftsmen. Also on sale will be the JRAC Cook book, "Flavors and Visions," candles with the JRAC symbol of the lady slipper, T-shirts designed by Micah Middaugh, tote bags from the Florescence exhibit, and the JRAC writers group recently published book, "Writings." Lunch will be available and features a gourmet menu.

Garden workshops

Kalkaska — Klumpp Flower Shop will offer a fairy garden workshop, a fall centerpiece class and also host a holiday open house.

The free fairy garden workshop will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10. The fall centerpiece class meets at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, and a Holiday Open House will be hosted at 5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29.

Attendees may bring their own container for the workshop and class or choose one at the flower shop, 210 N. Cedar St. Registration is encouraged, but not required; call 258-2342.
