TRAVERSE CITY — Central United Methodist Church’s Justice for Our Neighbors and the American Immigration Lawyers Association will co-sponsor a Naturalization/Citizenship clinic.
The clinic will be held Saturday, April 26, by appointment at Central United Methodist Church, 222 Cass St. Appointments include an opportunity to receive help completing an application, assembling the supporting document packet and one-on-one attorney review of the petition. Free child care care will be available on site. A $25 donation is requested, however the fee may be waived with proof of low-income status. Appointments are required. The church also will offer a free Civics Study Group for individuals who would like help preparing for the USCIS civics exam.

TRAVERSE CITY — The Traverse City Central High School class of 1957 will meet for lunch today, April 17.
The get-together will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Elks Club, 625 Bay St. Lunch orders will be taken at 11:30 a.m. All classmates are invited.

TRAVERSE CITY — John Ciorciari from the University of Michigan is the guest speaker at the next International Affairs Forum lecture.

New Opera Project
TRAVERSE CITY — Scott Skiba, an Interlochan Arts Academy faculty member and working opera singer, and his students, will present The New Opera Project, an event comprised of work entirely conceived, written, composed and performed by students at Interlochen Arts Academy and co-produced with Parallel 45 theatre company.
The event begins at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, April 18-19, at InsideOut Gallery, 229 Garland St., with original chamber music in the gallery. The curtain rises at 8 p.m. for the world premiere of three original short operas. At 9 p.m., patrons will hear the eclectic popular music of Interlochen’s singer-songwriter students.
