Tickets on sale Jan. 15 for Feb. 7 Writers Series

'Homeland' writer, executive producer featured

TRAVERSE CITY — Tickets go on sale Tuesday, Jan. 15, for the National Writers Series’ Feb. 7 evening with Chip Johannessen, executive producer and writer of Showtime’s award-winning TV show, “Homeland.”

The event kicks off the series’ 2013 Winter/Spring season. The complete lineup for upcoming programs will also be announced that evening.

“Homeland” just completed its second season and was television’s big winner at the 70th Annual Golden Globe Awards Sunday. Besides being named Best Television Drama, its stars Claire Danes and Damian Lewis took top honors.

Detroit native Johannessen will take the NWS audience backstage with moderator and NWS founder Doug Stanton. He’ll bring pages from his favorite scripts to accompany a select reel of  “Homeland” moments.
