FRANKFORT — Photographer Steve Loveless will close the Cabin Fever Artist Talk Series today.

‘Almost free’ classes

TRAVERSE CITY — Yoga for Health Education will offer nearly 20 “almost free” classes today.

The 60-minute classes are designed to introduce people of all ages to the benefits of non-competitive exercise that includes yoga, tai chi, Pilates and Feldenkrais. Classes meet between 9 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. at Yoga for Health at the Grand Traverse Commons. Each class is $5 (cash or check). All money collected will benefit FLOW (For the Love of Water), a Traverse City nonprofit.

Psychic Fair

TRAVERSE CITY — Higher Self Bookstore will free host a New Year’s Psychic Fair from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. on Saturday.

Snowshoe hike

EMPIRE — Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore is offering guided snowshoe hikes on Saturdays through the end of February.

The hikes start at 1 p.m. at the National Lakeshore Visitor Center, 9922 Front St. The next hike is Saturday, Jan. 4. Rangers will provide basic snowshoeing instruction and then participants will travel by car to the site selected for the hike. The activity is free, however a National Park pass is needed.
