Breakfast program

GAYLORD — The next Otsego County Commission on Aging Educational Breakfast Series program will be on Thursday.

Frostbite Food Drive

TRAVERSE CITY — The Father Fred Foundation will kick off its 20th annual Father Fred Frostbite Food Drive on Friday.

Father Fred will collect non-perishable food items through Sunday, Feb. 16. Donation sites are Garfield Centre, the 800 block of South Garfield Avenue; Fox Grand Traverse, U.S. 31 South; Family Fare, Chum’s Corner; Oleson’s, Three Mile and Hammond roads; and Tom’s Food Market, Acme. Donors also may donate money at these locations, as well as at www.fatherfred.org. The food drive also includes a Donation Match Challenge, where donations of food and cash will be matched dollar for dollar. This match currently is at $50,000.

Relay for Life fundraiser

KALEVA — The Kaleva Crusaders & Friends Relay for Life team will hold a fund-raising bake sale from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Feb. 8, at Kaleva Meats. Funds will go toward cancer research through the American Cancer Society’s annual Relay for Life event.

 

Valentine sweets

TRAVERSE CITY — First Baptist Church will host its fourth annual Sweet Shop and Rummage Sale just in time for Valentine’s Day.

The event will be held from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Feb. 8, at the church, 244 Washington St. Call 946-4727 to learn more.

Fibromyalgia support

TRAVERSE CITY — The Fibromyalgia Support Group will meet Feb. 8, in cafeteria dining room #2 at Munson Medical Center, 1105 Sixth St.
