TRAVERSE CITY — The community is invited to a retirement open house for Rob Manigold, Peninsula Township Supervisor, who is retiring after 25 years of service.

The open house will be held from 1-4 p.m. Monday, Dec. 30, at the township offices.

Anyone wishing to make a donation for his party/gift, may send contributions to Jill Byron, 13235 Center Rd., Traverse City, MI 49686.

 

Art classes

PETOSKEY — Crooked Tree Arts Center has released its lineup of winter and spring classes.

Winter classes for children, youth and adults begin Monday, Jan. 6 and continue through March 1.

Spring classes start April 8, just after local schools’ spring break, and continue through May 19. The popular Culinary Series showcasing local restaurants and chefs opens Jan. 7 and continues through Feb. 25.

Registration is under way for all classes and advance sign up is recommended.

Women’s brunch

TRAVERSE CITY — Author and world photographer Laura Vae Gatz will be the guest speaker at a Women’s Community Beach Brunch on Saturday, Jan. 11.

The brunch will start at 10 a.m. at Bay Pointe Community Church, 6880 Secor Road. Tickets are $3 each or two for $5 and include brunch. They may be purchased from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday at the church office. For details, visit www.bponline.org.
