ELK RAPIDS — Dominic John Davis, musical director for Willie Nelson’s 80th birthday party, will be joined by Joshua Davis and Rachael Davis for the Historic Elk Rapids Town Hall Association’s annual Holiday Concert.
The concert starts at 8 p.m. today, Dec. 20, at the Historic Elk Rapids Town Hall, 401 River St. Local singer/songwriters Dylan Sundberg and Sam Naples will open the show. Featured performers also include Rob Ford, the Elk Rapid Players, Joe Janisse, Joe Yuchasz, Terry Miller and others.

Polar Express time
TRAVERSE CITY — A Polar Express storytime today will include a guest appearance by Santa Claus.

Hot Fudge tasting
BEULAH — Crystal Crate & Cargo will host a free tasting of Tracey Scheifel’s “Grandma’s Hot Fudge Sauce” on Saturday.
Scheifel completed Grow Benzie’s “Starting Your Own Food Product Business” workshops and was able to get her product on the market before the holiday season using Grow Benzie’s commercial incubator kitchen. ‘Amahl’ on stage
TRAVERSE CITY — The Mel Larimer Concert Series will present “Amahl and the Night Visitors” on Sunday.
The Gian Carlo Menotti opera sung in English will be staged at 4 and 7 p.m. at the First Congregational Church, 6105 Center Road. Soloists include Jeffrey Norris, Jon Oakley, Aaron Ingersoll, Ashley Larimer-Kelly, Eric Ranke and Jennifer Hogue as Amahl. Conductor Russ Larimer will lead a professional orchestra and additional singers from the church’s sanctuary choir and the community.
