‘The Nutcracker’

INTERLOCHEN — The Interlochen Arts Academy Dance Co. and Orchestra production of the classic holiday ballet “The Nutcracker” continues today and Saturday.

Performances are at 7:30 p.m. today and at 2 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday in Corson Auditorium. Tickets are $26 for adults, $23 for senior citizens and $10 for students. They are available at https://tickets.interlochen.org or by calling (800) 681-5920 or 276-7800.

Madrigal Dinner

TRAVERSE CITY — The West Senior High School Madrigal Dinner will be held today, Dec. 13, through Sunday. The dinner and entertainment starts at 6 p.m. each day at the West Senior High School Commons Area, 5376 N. Long Lake Road. Tickets are $35 each. Call 933-7509.

Visit with Santa

EAST JORDAN — Children can visit with Santa Claus and enjoy hot chocolate and cookies from 5-7 p.m. Saturday in the Log Building at the East Jordan Tourist Park. The park also is the site of the East Jordan Lions Club Christmas Village, which features lighted displays through Jan. 5.

International cookies

TRAVERSE CITY — Northern Michigan Cultural Center and White Tiger Martial Arts will hold an International Christmas Cookie Walk on Saturday.

Cookies from around the world will be sold from 1-4 p.m. at White Tiger’s new location, 1238 S. Garfield Ave. Shoppers can mix and match varieties for $6 a pound. Call Jyl Gaskin, 267-5722.

Story time with Santa

KALKASKA — Author Jeffery Schatzer will read his book “The Elves in Santa’s Workshop” at a special holiday story time on Saturday.

The free event will be held from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Kalkaska County Library, 247 S. Cedar St. Call 258-9411.

Wellington Inn tours scheduled

TRAVERSE CITY — The “Inn at Christmastime” will feature tours of the historic, restored Wellington Inn.

The 1905 neoclassical mansion on the corner of Washington and Wellington Streets will be decorated for the holidays and open to the public from 1-5 p.m. Sunday. .
