Drawing, painting

TRAVERSE CITY — The Senior Center Network will offer a four-week drawing class beginning today, March 4, and an oil painting class starting Tuesday, April 29.

The drawing class will meet from 6-8 p.m. at the Traverse City Senior Center, 801 E. Front St. The cost is $45. It is a prerequisite for a four-week oil painting class that will meet from 6-8 p.m. beginning April 29, also at the senior center. The painting class is $120 per person.

Oil painting artist Melodee Rupert will instruct both classes. Participants are asked to provide their own materials and a list is available at Registration is required; call 922-4911.

Zonta program

TRAVERSE CITY — Reservations are due today, March 4, for the Zonta Club of Traverse City’s luncheon program on Wednesday, March 5.

Senior fraud

TRAVERSE CITY — Connie Rottman from Senior Helpers and Detective Nathan Ritter from the Grand Traverse County Sheriff’s Department will present “Senior Fraud: Don’t Be A Victim” twice today, March 4, at the Village at Bay Ridge, 3950 Scenic Ridge.

Rottman and Ritter will discuss common fraud schemes and how to protect against them at 11 a.m. in the East Building private dining room, and at 12:30 p.m. in the West Building craft room. The program is free and open to the public. Call 995-9385 to learn more.

Indoor yard sale

TRAVERSE CITY — Residents at the Village at Bay Ridge will sell their treasures at an indoor yard sale starting at 9 a.m. Friday, March 7, at the West Building, 3950 Scenic Ridge. For details, call 995-9385.
