Library Friends meet
BELLAIRE — The Friends of the Bellaire Library will hold their annual meeting today, May 6.
The group will meet at 2 p.m. at the library, 111 S. Bridge. Rapid City resident Lee Boisvert will discuss her book “Keewaydinoquay, Stories from My Youth.” The public is invited.
TRAVERSE CITY — Traverse City Area Public Schools Montessori at Glenn Loomis will hold a Road Rally fundraiser on Friday, May 10. Registration forms and fees are due today, May 6.
Road Rallies are scavenger hunts where teams compete for points and meet at a final destination for food and prizes.
The Rally will start at InsideOut Gallery, 229 Garland St. Check-in begins at 5:30 p.m. followed by the rally at 6:30 p.m. The cost is $20 per team and is open to adults ages 21 and older. For details, email Kathie Cesario, email@example.com.
TRAVERSE CITY — The Railroad Historical Society of Northwest Michigan meets at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, at the History Center of Traverse City, 322 Sixth St. Member Brian Leiteritz will present the DVD “Pacific Northwest Holiday.” Anyone interested in railroads or railroading is welcome.
