Madrigal Christmas concerts offered
NORTHPORT -- The Leelanau Children's Choir and Leelanau Youth Ensemble present their annual Madrigal Christmas concert Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at the Northport Community Arts Center.
Tickets are $15 for adults, $5 for students, under 5 free; available at Dog Ears Books in Northport, The Painted Bird in Suttons Bay, Leelanau Books in Leland and at the door.
TCHS Class of 1960 plans 50th reunion
TRAVERSE CITY -- The Traverse City High School Class of 1960 -- the first graduating class from the Milliken Drive location, which is now Central High School -- will hold its 50th reunion Sept. 11, 2010, at the Traverse City Elks Club.
Related events are being planned over the weekend, including visits to grade schools, Friday night mixer, tailgate and football game, Saturday brunch, Sunday picnic, sporting events and more.

KidzArt camp ends in New Year's party
TRAVERSE CITY -- KidzArt studio in the Cherryland Center is offering a "Gilded Treasure and Sparkly Stuff Camp," for four half-days after Christmas.
The camp is for children ages 8 and older.
Camp will meet Monday through Thursday, Dec. 28-- 31, from 9 a.m.-noon, with an art show/New Year's party at 11:30 a.m. Dec. 31 (parents/guardians are invited to attend).

'Angel Tree' offered at Central Grade
TRAVERSE CITY -- Central Grade School staff and families will offer an Angel Tree Program to assist school families who may be experiencing a need over the holidays.
The Angel Tree with ornaments will be located next to the main office, Nov. 30-Dec. 16. Each ornament will have gift information on the back (age of child, size and type of "wish"). Purchased gifts should be wrapped and returned to the office with the original angel ornament securely attached by Dec. 16.

TRAVERSE CITY -- The 13th annual "Elizabethan Madrigal Feaste" at Traverse City West High School will be offered Dec. 5-13 in the Commons Banquet Hall.

TCHS food pantry seeks donors
TRAVERSE CITY -- Traverse City High School is accepting donations to help stock the school's food pantry, which is available for students who may need assistance from time to time.
The food pantry was created last year by students from Traverse City High School's mentor group, with the goal to keep the pantry stocked with enough food and toiletries for students to take home when they experience a need. Items needed include canned goods, perishables, baby food, personal items and paper products.

CHS seeks Hall of Fame nominations
TRAVERSE CITY -- Traverse City Central High School Hall of Fame nominations are now being accepted at the Traverse City Central High School main office or online at www.tcaps.net/csh.
To make a nomination, submit a completed nomination form, three letters of support, and a picture of the candidate by July 31.
The purpose of the TC Central Hall of Fame is to honor past graduates and staff who have excelled in their fields, given back to the community and possess outstanding integrity.
