Cherry Republic's mix is magazine pick

TRAVERSE CITY -- Cherry Republic's Hiker Mix was chosen as one of the 21 best stocking stuffers by Real Simple magazine.

The list was for items that cost less than $50; Hiker's Mix is well under that limit, retailing for $13 at www.cherryrepublic.com or at a Cherry Republic stores.

It's a mix of dried cherries, dried cranberries, pumpkin seeds, peanuts, Brazil nuts, chocolate chunks and dried apricots. And, as the magazine pointed out, there's a real compass on the bag in case you get lost in the woods.
