Sign up for 'History in Motion' bus tour

TRAVERSE CITY -- The Grand Traverse Heritage Center's "History in Motion" chartered bus tour will travel to Dearborn for tours of the Henry Ford Museum, Greenfield Village and the Henry Ford Estate.

The tour will leave at 6 a.m. Oct. 10 from the heritage center, 322 Sixth St., to tour the museum and village. There will be an overnight at the Doubletree Hotel with a complimentary reception and breakfast. The group will tour the Ford mansion and lunch on Oct. 11 before returning to Traverse City.

Onekama festival celebrates fall

Onekama -- Onekama will celebrate the coming of autumn with a Fall Festival on Saturday.

Activities will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Village Park overlooking Portage Lake. There will be arts and crafts, an inflatable jumping castle, face painting, Mr. Balloon Man, a childrens' cow car train ride, horseback rides and wagon rides.

All activities are free and funded through Portage Lake Association fundraisers. For details, call 889-5680.
