Cookbook features Up North recipes

TRAVERSE CITY -- The Cottage Cookbook: Recipes for Summer Up North, edited by Emily Betz Tyra, food editor for Traverse and MyNorth.com, offers more than 40 recipes and summer entertaining tips. The Cottage Cookbook is available now at MyNorth.com, select booksellers and kitchen stores for a suggested retail price of $12.95.

"Now, readers can use The Cottage Cookbook to unlock the memories of enchanted cottage days and inspire traditions yet to come," said Betz Tyra, noting that this is the cookbook to have at the ready when making breakfast for a crew, fashioning the perfect picnic supper or feeding all the late-night card players a screened porch can hold.

The layout features full-color photography, providing serving suggestions for recipes including CB's Vernor's chicken, cherry summer tonic, muskmelon in port, violet cupcakes, gazpacho salad, smoked whitefish pate, black cherry ice cream and more.
