The bluegrass group from East Lansing will give a show at 8 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students 13-20 in advance, or $12 and $6 at the door. The Milroys are coming to Petoskey PETOSKEY The Milroys will perform in a Blissfest concert April 12 at Crooked Tree Arts Center. Children's theater at Opera House TRAVERSE CITY The City Opera House presents the first of the 2008 Children's Theater Series with a Theatreworks USA staging of the musical, "The Midnight Ride of Paul Revere." The live show will be performed in matinees at 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. April 20. Doors open at 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m., with tickets at $5 for children 12 and younger and $10 for adults. Benzie Players set performances BENZONIA The Benzie County Players present their first production of the season at the Mills Community House. "Lend Me a Tenor" will be presented nightly April 4, 5, 11 and 12 at 8 p.m. A matinee will be offered April 6 at 2 p.m. Ticket prices are $8 for adults and $4 for children ages 5 to 11. Author to visit children's museum TRAVERSE CITY Author Joanne Shannon will visit the Great Lakes Children's Museum on Thursday from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Shannon will read from her new children's book, "Do You Know?" The story is about a young girl who spends a day discovering nature and wondering about its mysteries. Between readings, Shannon will help children create and illustrate their own books to take home. History is theme of Depot program CHARLEVOIX The Charlevoix Historical Society is presenting a program on the "History of Theater Going" in Charlevoix at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Depot. The first part of the program will be a short illustrated overview of the town's first theaters. That will be followed by a talk by Cinema III's Bill Supernaw, who will recall incidents and stories as owner of the town's movie theater. Light refreshments will be served. Benzie Women's History Day slated Thompsonville "Well Behaved Women Seldom Make History" is the title for the Benzie Area Women's History Project Education Day. The event will be held Saturday at Crystal Mountain Resort, beginning with registration at 9 a.m. in the Crystal Center. The program will start at 9:30 a.m. The featured speaker will be singer/songwriter Susan Urban from Chicago. She will present "Respected Elders, Not Old Bags Upgrading the Image of Older Women in Our Culture" in the morning and "Nothing Left to Lose: The Life and Times of Janis Joplin" in the afternoon. In addition to the large group sessions and lunch, participants will be able to choose two smaller workshop sessions. The cost is $25 in advance or $30 at the door.
