Father Fred garage sale fundraiser

Traverse City — The Father Fred Fall Garage Sale fundraiser is being held today, Sept. 18.

Sale hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Father Fred Foundation, 826 Hastings St. Prices will be reduced at 2 p.m., when most items will be half price and most clothing will be $2 a bag.

There also will be food, music and a 50/50 raffle. For details, call 947-2055 or visit www.fatherfred.org.

Redeemer Lutheran installs new pastor

Interlochen — Redeemer Lutheran Church will install its new pastor, the Rev. Mark Berlin, on Sunday, Sept. 19.

The Rev. Berlin served as pastor at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Maryville, Wis., from July 2002 to August 2010. The installation service will start at 4 p.m. at the church on U.S. 31 and will be followed by a dinner. The public is invited.

DivorceCare groups for adults and kids

Traverse City — Bay Pointe Community Church will offer support groups for divorced or separated adults and children affected by divorce or separation.

DivorceCare and DivorceCare for Kids groups will meet from 1 to 3 p.m. weekly starting on Sunday, Sept. 19, at the church, 6880 Secor Road. For details or to register, call 922-9882.

Pancake breakfast benefits Love INC

Traverse City — The St. Patrick Catholic Church Men's Club will prepare and serve a pancake breakfast on Sunday, Sept. 19, to benefit Love INC (In the Name of Christ).

The meal will be served from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the church, 630 W. Silver Lake Road, and is being sponsored by an anonymous St. Patrick parishioner couple. The cost is $5.50 for adults, $3.50 for ages 5 and older, $20 for families and free for children 4 and younger. Additional donations are appreciated.

Harvest dinner served family style

Mancelona — The Mancelona United Methodist Church will host a Harvest Dinner.

The family-style roast beef meal will be served on Tuesday, Sept. 21, with seatings at 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. at the church, 117 E. Hinman. Take-outs will be available at 5 and 6 p.m.

Tickets are available from church members or at the door and proceeds benefit local and mission projects. Call 377-2047 for details.
