Chicken Cordon Bleu on the menu

Kalkaska — Chicken Cordon Bleu is the main entree for a dinner Saturday, Nov. 13, at Kalkaska United Methodist Church.

The meal, which also includes rice, green beans with bacon, salad, beverage and dessert, will be served from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the church, 2525 Beebe Road. The cost is $8 for adults and $5 for children ages 12 and younger. Carry-outs and delivery are available.

Shop for Christmas on the Peninsula

Traverse city — Old Mission Peninsula United Methodist Church will hold its annual Christmas Bazaar on Saturday, Nov. 13.

"Christmas on the Peninsula" will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the church, 16426 Center Road. It will feature handcrafted items, attic treasures, gifts and baked goods. Lunch also will be available. Call 223-4393 to learn more.

Bazaar emphasizes cherry creations

Bear Lake — Culinary artisans will tempt shoppers with their cherry creations at the "Merry Cherry Christmas Bazaar."

The bazaar will be hosted from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, at Bear Lake United Methodist Church, 7861 Main St. There also will be crafts, treasures from Granny's Attic and lunch. For more information, call 864-3680.

Add Acme church to list of bazaar stops

Acme — Christ the King Church will serve lunch featuring homemade soups at its annual Craft Show.

Area crafters will display and sell their creations from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13. There also will be a bake sale.

Traverse Christian Singles will meet

Traverse City — Traverse Area Christian Singles have two dinners lined up for November and December.

The group will meet on Saturday, Nov. 13, at Boone's Long Lake Inn. It also will host a Christmas dinner on Friday, Dec. 10, at Minerva's in the Park Place Hotel. No gifts are required.
