Original play presented at dinner theater

'If You Just Believe' is written by Tammy Tarsa

From staff reports

TRAVERSE CITY — Twelve characters — living with broken dreams, difficult decisions and confusion — come together in "If You Just Believe," a play written by local author Tammy Tarsa.

The play will be performed Thursday through Sunday, Dec. 16-19, as a dinner theater presentation.

The characters are young, old and angry, Tarsa said, "in love, running from life and running to it."

Their lives intersect when they're all stranded at an airport during a blizzard.

After 36 hours together, they become acquaintances, then friends, then confidants, then family.

Songs featured in the play are from a variety of composers. Dinner is served by a wait staff, followed by the play.

Dessert will be served during intermission.

The play will be staged at the Bayview Wesleyan Church fellowship center, 720 Wayne St., which has "been transformed" for the production, Tarsa said.

Thursday through Saturday, dinner is served at 6:30 p.m. Sunday dinner is served at 5:30 p.m.

Tickets are $13 or $96 for a table of eight and are available by calling 947-3792.
