Romantic evening of music at Ramsdell

---- — MANISTEE — Miriam Pico and David Chown will perform in “A Romantic Valentine” at the historic Ramsdell Theater in Manistee on Saturday, Feb. 16, at 7:30 p.m.

Chown has been playing piano professionally for more than 25 years. With a bachelor’s degree in jazz studies from Western Michigan University and another in piano technology from Michigan State University, Chown has performed in Europe and throughout northern Lower Michigan. In addition to solo piano concerts and club appearances, he leads the Lookout Cats variety band. He has also released six CDs on his own label.

Joining Chown for the romantic evening of music is vocalist Pico. The northern Michigan singer-songwriter has recorded three CDs and won several awards including first place in Kawai’s national Searching for a Star contest in 2007.
