Acrobatic troupe comes to Dennos

October Festival

Porterhouse Productions presents an October Festival today from 5 to 10 p.m. at Grand Traverse Commons featuring Greensky Bluegrass with special guests The Joshua Davis Band and Lindsay Lou & the Flatbellys. There's also a Silent Disco, Glow in the Dark LED Disc Golf, bonfires, heated tents and free shuttles to and from the Old Town Parking Deck. Hometown heroes

The community is invited to meet and honor current and retired Coast Guard families during a special event Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Fox Grand Traverse. Coney dogs, chips, popcorn, cake and soft drinks will be served.

Rare Threads

Free at Raven Hill

Family fun is free on Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. at Raven Hill Discovery Center in East Jordan. It's part of Raven Hill's free Second Saturday events running the second Saturday of each month through December and offering problem-solving demos and activities for all ages and interests. Siren Hall Feast
