Festival showcases George Cole

The Manitou Music Festival features jazz/swing guitarist George Cole and his trio 8 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 12, outdoors at Studio Stage, Lake Street Studios in Glen Arbor. Rain location is Glen Arbor Town Hall. Cole is also playing 8 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 16, at the Garden Theater in Frankfort. Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door. Port Oneida Fair

The 11th annual Port Oneida Rural Arts and Culture Fair is 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. today, Aug. 10, and Saturday, Aug. 11. In addition to the many popular demonstrations, animals and exhibits, the fair features a chicken dinner today, and will end with an astronomy party on Saturday night. The fair is a free, but you must purchase a National Park Entrance Pass and display it in your vehicle. For more information, call 326-5135, ext. 328.

Chamber music

Chamber Music North performs "Leland Baroque" 7:30 p.m. today, Aug. 10, at the Leland School. The concert will feature Cary Lewis, piano, Kimberly Kaloyanides Kennedy, violin, and Debra Fayroian, cello.

All aboard

The Alden Depot Museum, 10670 Coy St., will host its annual Model Train Show and Swap Meet 10 a.m.- 4 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 11, and Sunday, Aug. 12. The show will continue from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays, Aug. 18-19, 25-26 and Sept. 1-2. The show's final day is 1-4 p.m., Labor Day, Sept. 3. Northport dogs

Wine, food and fun will be the focus in Northport when the 16th annual Northport Dog Parade takes to the streets Saturday, Aug. 11, followed by the opening of the 25th annual Northport Wine Festival. The dogs start 1 p.m. from the Mill Pond on Third Street. The Northport Wine Festival is 2-6 p.m. in Haserot Park, 105 Rose St.
