Look for the festival guide in Sunday’s Record-Eagle. Meanwhile, festival officials say the roster of more than 140 “just great movies” includes the Spanish comedy, “The World is Ours,” a World War II thriller from Holland, and a slew of documentaries that take viewers everywhere from remote Greenland to a small Kurdish village that is experiencing its first “movie theater.” Among special guests: British director Michael Apted (”Coal Miner’s Daughter,” the “7 Up” series).
The ninth annual festival opens July 30 and runs through August 4. Ticket sales begin July 14 for Friends of the Film Festival and July 20 for the general public.
