Maloney to perform in Manistee

TRAVERSE CITY — Top 20 “The Voice” contestant Ryan Whyte Maloney will give his first concert in his native northern Michigan since appearing on the NBC show.

Maloney will perform in a benefit for the Stomp Out Cancer Fund on May 11 at Seng’s Marina on Manistee Lake. Traverse City musician John Harlan and Manistee talents Awesome Distraction, Tucker Laws and Simon Malm also will perform.

Maloney is a Traverse City native who lives and performs in Las Vegas. He was one of five contestants left on the reality singing competition’s Team Blake when he was eliminated before the live show rounds.

He’ll open for ACM New Artist of the Year Justin Moore on July 11 at the National Cherry Festival in Traverse City.

Tickets for his Manistee concert are $20 for adults and $10 for students 18 and under, at soc-fund.org. Kids 5 and under get in free.
