MAPLE CITY — Glen Lake Schools will host a Haunted House from 6-10 p.m. Saturday and 5-8 p.m. Sunday at the school, 3375 W. Burdickville Road. Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for students, and $15 for families.
TRAVERSE CITY — Members of the Traverse Symphony Orchestra will help bring the 1931 film thriller “Frankenstein” to life on Wednesday at the State Theatre, 233 E. Front St.
Fifteen members of the TSO will perform live orchestra accompaniment for the film at 6 and 7:45 p.m., playing a film score written by composer-pianist-conductor Michael Shapiro, who will direct the music. NORTHPORT — Dress as the undead and help raise money for the Northport Arts Association at Zombie Prom on Saturday.
The fundraiser will be held from 9:30-11 p.m. at Lelu Cafe and includes dancing, crowning of the court and a silent auction of “spooky” items. A painting portraying Zombie Prom by Tom Woodruff will be among the silent auction items.

Fun for ‘monsters’
KALKASKA — The Kalkaska County Library will host a Monster Mash for children and families on Tuesday.

TRAVERSE CITY — Artists Creating Together (ACT) will host a Halloween Costume Dance for teens and adults with disabilities on Halloween, Thursday.
The dance will be held from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Grand Traverse County Civic Center community room. Cost is $5 per person.
