INTERLOCHEN —The Roundup Radio Show variety radio program will premier at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 23, on IPR News Radio, WICA 91.5 FM in Traverse City/Interlochen; WLMN 89.7 in Ludington/Manistee; and WHBP 90.1 FM in Harbor Springs/Petoskey.
The Roundup Radio Show featuring home-grown talent airs weekly on Traverse City’s WNMC community radio. The segments feature Bill Dungjen and the Roundup host band Sour Mash, the Roundup Repertory Company, The Longest Drive Contest, and 2 pages as well as new segments.
The first of 10 monthly roadshows will be recorded March 9 at Elderly Instruments in Lansing, featuring instruments from the showroom floor and several of Elderly’s employees. It will be taped at 2 p.m., admission is free and all are welcome to attend.
Later shows will be produced in venues around the Interlochen Public Radio broadcast area and will offer performances by invited special guest artists.
Every Thursday night at 8 p.m. at the Hayloft Inn near Traverse City, the weekly Roundup will continue to offer open mic performers the chance to be recorded for the WNMC radio program. All performers are welcomed.
Roundup Roadshows will air at 10 p.m. on the third Saturday of the month. Tapings scheduled so far are:
March 9: Roundup Roadshow for Interlochen Public Radio at Elderly Instruments in Lansing-Showtime, 2 p.m.
April 5: Roundup Roadshow for Interlochen Public Radio at Pearl’s Elk Rapids; Showtime TBA.
June 15: Roundup Roadshow for Interlochen Public Radio at Cherry Republic, Glen Arbor; Showtime TBA.
Nov. 8: Roundup Roadshow for Interlochen Public Radio at Cafe Sante, Boyne City; Showtime TBA.
The Roundup Radio Show will continue to air on WNMC 90.7 FM and WNMC.org Saturday mornings at 7 a.m. and Sunday afternoons at 5 p.m.
