Sleder's party benefits WCP

Sleder's Family Tavern is holding a 130th anniversary celebration and fundraiser for the nonprofit Women's Caring Program on Saturday, Sept. 15. The party starts at 4 p.m. at Sleder's, 717 Randolph St.. There is $10 cover charge. For more information, call 649-8955.

Scavenger hunt

Leelanau Conservancy offers a Children's Scavenger Hunt on the Leland Village Green on Saturday, Sept. 15. The hunt is 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Families are encouraged to join their children ages 3 through 12. Participants will be provided a booklet of items to hunt for, lots of clues and some fun riddles.

Father Fred sale

Bargain hunters will revel in the annual Father Fred Foundation Garage Sale Fundraiser on Saturday, Sept. 15. The sale is 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 826 Hastings in Traverse City. All proceeds benefit The Father Fred Foundation's programs and services.

Benefit car show

The public is invited to the Grand Traverse County Veteran Affairs Soldiers Relief Fund Car and Motorcycle Show on Saturday, Sept. 15 at Fox Grand Traverse, 3464 N. U.S. 31 South. Invasive species
