Couple can still duet on CMT show

FROM STAFF REPORTS

TRAVERSE CITY -- Two of Traverse City's own will continue their quest to prove they can duet.

Chelsee Oaks, 22, and Rob Bolin, 22, will appear on the second episode of the CMT show "Can You Duet," airing at 8 p.m. Saturday. The couple now lives in Nashville but grew up and performed locally.

They will sing on the pre-recorded show in hopes of continuing on in the TV talent competition, which promises a recording contract for the winner.

Oaks and Bolin are scheduled to perform along with other duos O'Shea, Steel Magnolia, Harmon Creek and The Stellas. A panel of three judges will eliminate two duos at the end of the show.

The first episode of this season's "Can You Duet" aired last week and showed hopefuls auditioning, belting it out and strumming guitars in front of the judges.
