Northern Notes: Stranger buys meal for trio

Tom and Jean Gregg of Lake Ann had decided to have a meal at the Stone Oven Restaurant in Lake Ann only to find it full.

The couple were invited to sit at a table with a single gentleman, which whom they had a very nice conversation and as a bonus met someone new.

"We were still eating when the waitress came over to tell us that a gentleman had paid both of our checks and was long gone," Tom Gregg said. "It was a real blessing and very much appreciated."
