TRAVERSE CITY — “Government Procurement Made Easier” will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Thursday, May 30, at Northwestern Michigan College’s Parsons-Stulen Building, 2600 Aero Park Drive.
The seminar is intended for businesses with some knowledge of government contracting.

Solar projectbeing offered
TRAVERSE CITY — Traverse City Light & Power in partnership with Cherryland Electric Cooperative will offer the Solar Up North Alliance program.
The program offers residential and business customers of both utilities the opportunity to invest in solar energy through participation in a community solar project.
An informational meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 23, at the Light and Power office, 1131 Hastings in Traverse City.
MMC joins Spectrum
LUDINGTON — Memorial Medical Center has signed a letter of intent to join Spectrum Health. While non-binding, the letter of intent establishes that MMC will work exclusively with Spectrum Health.
The agreement will preserve MMC’s board of directors.
Benefits cited in in a press release include expanded healthcare services, better access to capital, improved access to medical specialists adn additional professional opportunities for community physicians.
Patriot Game sponsors
TRAVERSE CITY — The Traverse City Patriot Game is seeking businesses that are interested in being part of this year’s contest. An informational meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, May 23, at the Bill Marsh Buick/GMC dealership on S. Garfield Ave.
The annual football clash between West and Central was dubbed the T.C. Patriot Game last year, with fundraising efforts raising more than $9,000 to support Operation American Soldier.
