Wybenga appointed to state board

TRAVERSE CITY — TBA Credit Union’s chief financial officer has been appointed by Gov. Rick Snyder to the Michigan Board of Real Estate Appraisers.

Robin Wybenga was appointed to the board Tuesday.

“I’m just very honored to have been selected to the Board of Real Estate Appraisers and I look forward to serving the state of Michigan,” Wybenga said.

Wybenga has worked in the credit union industry since 1985. She joined TBA Credit Union in September.

The nine-member board is housed within the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs.

It licenses and regulates more than 6,000 real estate appraisers. Wybenga will serve the remainder of a four-year term that expires June 30, 2016.

Her appointment is subject to the consent of the state Senate.

TBA Credit Union has $150 million in assets and offers financial services to members in Antrim, Benzie, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska and Leelanau counties.
