Fundraising webinar

TRAVERSE CITY — Nonprofit leaders, fundraisers and volunteers are invited to learn low-cost marketing and fundraising techniques during a webinar, co-sponsored by NorthSky Nonprofit Network, the Association for Fundraising Professionals and Northwestern Michigan College.

“Inbound Fundraising- Attracting Donors, Volunteers and other Supporters,” will take place Jan. 28 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at Northwestern Michigan College’s University Center campus. The program will be led by Allan Pressel, CEO of PowerSite123 and co-author of “Internet Management for Nonprofits,” who will discuss online strategies including how to attract visitors to a website and convert them to donors, event attendees and volunteers.

Home EXPO

ACME — The 2014 Home EXPO sponsored by the Home Builders Association of the Grand Traverse Area, will be held Feb. 15 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Feb. 16 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Grand Traverse Resort and Spa.

The EXPO will feature exhibits from more than 125 building contractors, remodelers, landscapers, financiers and other businesses related to the region’s construction and remodeling industry.

Chamber celebration

ACME — The annual celebration of the Traverse City Area Chamber of Commerce will be held Jan. 24 from 5:30 to 9 p.m. at the Grand Traverse Resort and Spa, where Chamber officials will present their annual Distinguished Service Award.

Food and beverage stations will be open throughout the evening. Entertainment will be provided by Judy Harrison and the Swing Shift Band.

Admission is $100 for Chamber members, with a “Business Bundle” special of 10 tickets for $900. Tickets are $150 for non-members. To register, visit the chamber’s website at www.tcchamber.org.
