TRAVERSE CITY -- Natalie Okerson-Sparks, a family medicine doctor, relocated to Creekside Clinic & Sports Medicine in Williamsburg and is accepting new patients. Her office can be reached at (231) 935-0788.


TRAVERSE CITY -- Gary Springstead, former FBI special agent and Grand Rapids attorney, was elected to the Criminal Defense Attorneys of Michigan board of directors. Springstead will represent criminal defense attorneys in northern Michigan.


TRAVERSE CITY -- The Kiwanis Club elected its officers and new board members for the upcoming year. Wade Van Houzen of the Bank of Northern Michigan was elected president, replacing Liz Sayre-King of Professional Solutions Plus. President-Elect is Gail Parsons of the Traverse Area District Library, Vice President/Program Chair is Matt Wiliford of the Interlochen Arts Academy, Secretary is Gary Carlson and Treasurer is Rex Rudolph of Padgett Business Services. Gary Gardner of Rosi & Gardner, James LaClair of Hagerty Insurance and Marc Judge of Traverse City State Bank were elected to the board of directors.


TRAVERSE CITY -- Jeff Hickman was named HomeBanc’s top government guaranteed commercial lender in the first quarter of 2014. HomeBanc is headquartered in Tampa, Fla., and is growing its portfolio in northern Michigan.
