---- — Chris Kindlinger celebrated 20 years as a certified public accountant in Traverse City.

His firm was renamed Kindlinger & Company, PC last year and moved to a new location in Logan’s West.

Grand Traverse Resort & Spa received “Michigan Meetings + Events” magazine’s 2014 “Best Of” award for the best hotel with meeting and event space, and “Smart Meetings” magazine’s bronze award for best golf resort.

The Exchange Club of Traverse City named officers for the 2014-2015 club year: President Dean Reid, Prime Time Electric; President Elect Gary Cork, Snap Quick Print; Secretary, Grant Klaver retired insurance agent and contractor; Treasurer, Aaron Mansfield, Dennis, Gartland & Niergarth; Director, William Hemming, Walters & Hemming, Inc.; Raleigh Newman, Dentist.

Nancy Turner, local long-term care ombudsman for the Area Agency on Aging Northern Michigan’s Traverse City region, received the 2014 Aging Achievement Award from the National Association of Area Agencies on Aging.

Turner shares the award with Sharon Greenhoe, ombudsman for the Alpena region.
