Wine passport and discount

TRAVERSE CITY — The Old Mission & Leelanau Winery Passport that provides discounts toward purchases at 13 local wineries is on sale for $59. Passports are valid for two people and have unlimited use at each winery. Passports completed before Dec. 13 can be exchanged through 9&10 News for a complimentary wine tote. Oryana popsicle giveaway set

TRAVERSE CITY — Oryana Natural Foods Market will give away free GoodPops frozen fruit popsicles to the community on July 22 from 3 to 7 p.m. in gratitude for winning the 2014 Traverse City Area Chamber of Commerce Hagerty Small Business of the Year award. GoodPops are made by Goodwill Industries of Northwest Michigan and use local, fresh fruit.

Schmuckal Oil sponsors fundraiser

TRAVERSE CITY — LochenHeath Golf Club is hosting its fourth annual Chip in for Hospice charity golf tournament for Munson Hospice on Sept. 19. The event raised more than $63,000 in past years, and this year will be sponsored by Schmuckal Oil Company. Volunteers and additional sponsorships are needed. Performance Chiropractic events

TRAVERSE CITY — Performance Chiropractic is hosting two upcoming events. Dr. Julie Brons presents Feeding Your Body on July 14 at 6:15 p.m., where she will present information on healing with food. Dr. Don Piche presents Creating Health on July 23 at 6:15 p.m., where he will present about promoting health and reversing disease. Both classes are free, but require reservations. Governor’s Award

TRAVERSE CITY — Kalkaska Memorial Health Center’s Eden Center was recognized with the 2014 Governor’s Award of Excellence for Outstanding Achievement in Reducing Health Care Acquired Conditions. Paul Oliver Memorial Hospital was recognized with the 2014 Governor’s Award of Excellence for Outstanding Outpatient Clinical Achievement in the Critical Access Hospital Setting. The facilities were two of 188 Michigan health care facilities honored with awards.
