Gas prices fall 11 cents in a week

DEARBORN (AP) — AAA Michigan said gasoline prices have fallen about 11 cents during the past week to a statewide average of about $3.78 per gallon.

The auto club said Monday the average is up about 24 cents from this time last year.

Of the cities it surveys, AAA Michigan said the cheapest price for self-serve unleaded fuel is in the Grand Rapids, Muskegon and Holland areas, where it’s about $3.68 a gallon. The highest average is in the Ann Arbor and Detroit areas at about $3.84 a gallon.

Dearborn-based AAA Michigan surveys 2,800 Michigan gas stations daily.
