Zonta scholarship

TRAVERSE CITY — The Zonta Club of Traverse City is offering a free scholarship to explore various types of engineering on the campus of Michigan Tech July 14-20 for students in grades 9-11. Free transportation to Houghton is included.

Business loan workshop

TRAVERSE CITY — Registration is open for the annual meeting of the Traverse Bay Economic Development Corporation on March 15 at Northwestern Michigan College’s Hagerty Center.

The event includes a free business loan workshop focusing on various loan and financing programs and resources available to area businesses through the Chamber and its partners.

Representatives from the Michigan Economic Development Corp., Northern Initiatives and other organizations will be on hand.

The free workshop will be followed by a luncheon and the EDC’s Annual Meeting. The cost of the luncheon is $20.
