Pavilions' job fair

Traverse City — Registration is required and due today, Oct. 26, for a Grand Traverse Pavilions Job Fair for direct care staff. No calls or walk-ins will be accepted after today.

The fair's "Meet and Greet" times are 8 to 10 a.m., 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30. It is specifically for certified nurse aides, universal workers and individuals interested in training to be a nurse aide.

Clean Up, Green Up

Traverse City — Michigan Green Consortium will hold its seventh "Clean Up and Green Up" free community-wide recycle, repurpose and reuse event on Sunday, Nov. 4.

The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the grounds of American Waste's facility, 280 Hughes Dr. It is held two times a year the morning following the time change and encourages area residents to bring difficult-to-recycle items, things that have salvageable components or materials, and items that can be repurposed or reused to one central location for collection.

Customer Service class

TRAVERSE CITY — Northwestern Michigan College is holding a two-day training for front-line staff Nov. 20 and 27 from 8:30 a.m.-noon.

The class provides training in practical skills and ideas for delivering excellent customer service for those in the hospitality and foodservice industries to build positive relationships with customers.

Instructor Megan Raphael, executive director of the National Writers Series and president of Courage Project, has extensive experience in business management and organization.
