n Fifth Third Bank welcomed three employees to the Traverse City banking team.

Debbie Burns is executive assistant to the market president; she brings 21 years of administrative experience to the position.

Alex Wood maintained his existing role as officer, Commercial Real Estate, which he held in Grand Rapids.

Katie Fox relocated to Fifth Third Bank’s Northern Michigan affiliate where she will continue to work as a portfolio manager in the Special Assets Group.

n Tricia Frey has been named the Centre I.C.E. marketing director. She formerly served as advertising sales representative for the Detroit Red Wings Training Camp and NHL Prospect Tournament Commemorative Programs and marketing and advertising Representative for Centre I.C.E. and Howe Arena.

n Todd Muha, a local registered investment advisor, announced this week the launch of Third Coast Securities in Traverse City. He is affiliated with Saxony Securities, Inc. of St. Louis, Mo. and Pershing, a subsidiary of the Bank of New York Mellon.

n Northern Broadcast, Inc., home of 94.3/92.5 Music Radio the Fox FM, 97.5/98.9 WKLT and 105.5/106.7 ESPN, hired Kathleen Bagley to develop advertising strategies for local businesses.

n The Dewey Insurance Agency, Inc., in Kalkaska, is marking its 40th anniversary. Founder Rodger Dewey, along with son, Patrick and daughter, Christina, own and operate the independent agency, while also operating the affiliate Dewey Oil & Gas Insurance Agency, Inc.
