Britten acquires G.R. company

TRAVERSE CITY — Britten Banners acquired JAROB, Inc., a Grand Rapids sign and display printing company with 60 employees.

Britten President Paul Britten could not be reached for comment.

Britten is more than 30 years old and based in Traverse City.

It creates banners and displays for customers such as Disney and ESPN.

A press release said Britten and JAROB’s combined retail client base now includes thousands of the largest retailers, shopping centers, marketers and vendors to the retail market, as well as small, independent enterprises.

Bella Fortuna North job fair

LAKE LEELANAU — Bella Fortuna North is hosting a job fair at the restaurant in Lake Leelanau on April 24.

On-site interviews will be held for servers, chefs, bartenders, maitre’ds, hosts and bus personnel. The job fair will be held at 104 W. Main St. in Lake Leelanau from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Tourism industry training offered

TRAVERSE CITY — The Grand Traverse Area Hospitality Association is hosting a free seminar to teach those in the hospitality industry the best ways to interact with tourists.

The seminar will be held April 22 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Park Place Hotel.

Business discussion is scheduled

TRAVERSE CITY — Attorney Lawrence LaSusa and SCORE mentor Marshall Persky will host a discussion on forming and organizing a business on Friday.

The discussion is sponsored by the Grand Traverse-Leelanau-Antrim Bar Association.
