Nestle Toll House Café opens at mall

TRAVERSE CITY — Two northern Michigan business partners are opening a sweet business at the Grand Traverse Mall.

Sweet, indeed.

Noella Korte and Beth Harris opened the Nestle Toll House Café by Chip. The bakery café offers freshly baked cookies, Nescafe Milano coffee, ice cream and many other treats.

“A dessert bar in a way with gourmet cookies, cookie cups, brownies, shakes,” Korte said. “We have 12 ice creams and malts … crepes to order and they are sweet and savory. Panini wraps and smoothies.

“Pretty much anything you can imagine,” Korte said.

The 300-square-foot kiosk with seating is the second business Korte and Harris own in the mall, 3200 W. South Airport Road. They also are proprietors of Cool Beans Coffee & Bakery at the mall.

“Great customer service and a product that the customer values,” Korte said of the pair’s business philosophy.
