n Cash n Carry Flooring added Robin Whipple to their team of sales professionals. She has been in the flooring business for 26 years, specializing in all aspects of flooring design.

n Raquel Paulus of Peterson McGregor & Associates has been named an Elite Agent by Priority Health, recognizing exemplary client service and achievement across multiple categories in the insurance industry.

n Traverse City Light & Power’s Board appointed a new chairman, vice chairman and reappointed its secretary. John Taylor, who has served as the vice chairman for the past two years, was elected chairman; Jan Geht was elected vice chairman; and Tim Arends, TCL&P’s executive director, was re-elected secretary of the Board. Each will serve a one-year term.

n Farm Bureau’s Carter-Needham Agency in Traverse City announced the addition of new partner Chris Hathaway. A native to the region, Hathaway has served Farm Bureau clients for more than 10 years with home, auto, life, farm and business insurance needs.

n Bravo Zulu Brewing announced promotion of Kelli Ruthkowski to assistant taproom manager. She has been a bartender/server with the company since they opened in December.

n Carol Ross, branch manager of Manpower Group and staffing specialist, Sarah Lafkas, both of the Traverse City branch, have been recognized with the ManpowerGroup Power Award for achieving outstanding performance and providing superior service.

Name change

n Dave Conrad owner of the former Bay Breeze Yacht Charters and Sailing School has launched a new name for his company, the Great Lakes Sailing Co. and taken on new boat lines, offering Hunter, Jeanneau and Gemini sailing yachts. Home-based in Traverse City with additional charter operations in Charlevoix and Cheboygan, the Great Lakes Sailing Co. offers more 20 sailing yachts for charter ranging in size from 30’ to 45’, and a nationally recognized, award winning sailing school that teaches adults and families how to sail and cruise on larger boats.
