Biz breakfast

ELK RAPIDS — The Elk Rapids Area Business Breakfast Club meeting will take place Nov. 14 at 7:45 a.m. at the Elk Harbor Restaurant, 714S US 31 in Elk Rapids.

Char P. Kirchner, CPA, MSA, PLC will speak on “How and What to Get Ready for Your CPA and Your Tax Return.” Business Breakfast Club is open to the public and the ticket price is $15. If interested in attending please RSVP by noon Nov. 12.

Health plan answers

TRAVERSE CITY — Priority Health will host two informational meetings aimed at helping individuals learn about the benefits of their health plans and perks of being a member. The meetings will take place Dec. 3 from 3 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 7 p.m. at the Priority Health conference center, 715 E. Front St.

Online risks

TRAVERSE CITY — “How to Minimize the Risks of Online Marketing and Social Media to Your Business” will be the topic for the Business Owners Speaker Series on Nov. 14. The event will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Hagerty Center, 715 E. Front Street.

The guest speaker will be attorney John Di Giacomo, Revision Legal. Di Giacomo is an experienced business, intellectual property, litigation, and Internet lawyer.

This is the second installment of the speaker series in Traverse City. The Business Owners Speaker Series provides an opportunity to hear local business leaders share strategies and ideas that can help any business succeed.

The Speaker Series is being presented by Charter Business and the Michigan Small Business & Technology Development Center (MI-SBTDC) in conjunction with the Michigan Economic Development Corporation and the U.S. Small Business Administration.
