Stella spin-off called The Franklin

TRAVERSE CITY — Owners of renowned restaurant Trattoria Stella said they've named their new restaurant at Front and Cass streets The Franklin.

The restaurant will open May 12 at the southwest corner of Front and Cass. A press release from Trattoria Stella owners Paul and Amanda Danielson said the restaurant will feature “a healthy mix of Michigan favorites and new flavors from around the world.”

The restaurant will feature Chefs Myles Anton and Gabe Rodriguez. Anton is the chef and co-owner of Trattoria Stella at the Village at Grand Traverse Commons.

The restaurant will hold a two-week staff training beginning April 28.
