Business expo scheduled for Elk Rapids

ELK RAPIDS — Northern Michigan businesses are invited to participate in a comprehensive business expo in April.

The 2014 Northern Michigan Business Expo and Job Fair will be held April 17 at the Williamsburg Banquet and Conference Center.

The expo is a chance for businesses to get the word out about their enterprises and to network with other business leaders.

“It’s a great way to promote your business, a great way to network, and a great way to meet new customers,” said Misty Youngson, executive director for the Elk Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce. “Also, if you have employment needs for the summer you can meet with potential employees.”

Events will run from 12:30 to 7 p.m.

They include a lunch and lecture panel discussion, exhibits, business after hours and drawings.

The lunch and lecture will include a panel discussion about regional public transportation in northwest Michigan.

Representatives from Antrim County Transportation, the Bay Area Transit Authority, Kalkaska Area Transit and others will discuss programs for public transportation. A limited number of tickets are available to the public.

For more information or to reserve space contact the Elk Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce at 231-264-8202 or email Monica Cory at mcory@elkrapidschamber.org.
