Grow Benzie offers website help

TRAVERSE CITY — Grow Benzie is hosting a series of workshops for owners of new, growing and potential startups to learn about getting small businesses off the ground.

“It’s a lot of planning,” said Grow Benzie kitchen manager Lisa Richter Manrow. “You have to have a lot of passion and really believe in what you’re doing to follow through with all the steps to get going as a commercially licensed, small-scale food producer.”

The next workshop will cover websites for small businesses. Mitch Park from Traverse City web development company Contempo Solutions will answer questions on how websites work, what they can be used for and how to get one.

The website workshop will be held March 3 at 6 pm at Grow Benzie in Benzonia. Future workshops will cover labeling, food safety, marketing, insurance and more.
