Buckley event showcases corn, soybeans

TRAVERSE CITY -- Area farmers are invited to a Sept. 25 event in the Buckley area to showcase several corn varieties and soybeans.

The event is from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at three farm plots around Buckley. The large plot is located at the Matt Breithaupt farm on Karlin Road between Zue and Davis roads, where a free lunch will be served. A Michigan State University corn plot is nearby on Davis Road, and the third plot is located at the intersection of M-37 and Elliot Road.
