New name -- Chef Perry Harmon, chef/owner of Provisions Ltd., a local gourmet food products wholesaler, announced that effective immediately his company is now known as Way North Foods. Events -- Cherry Capital Airport and the Grand Traverse Resort & Spa will host the annual convention of the TBM Owners and Pilots Association Inc. from Sept. 3 - 7. It's the owners group for the Socata TBM700 and TBM850 aircraft, the fastest single-engine business aircraft on the market. Organizers said the event is expected to attract 75 aircraft and 200 participants, and generate an estimated $300,000 for the local economy. -- Registration for the 2008 Business Expo of the Traverse City Area Chamber of Commerce begins Sept. 12. The event will be held Nov. 18 at the Grand Traverse Resort & Spa, and registration forms will be available on the chamber's Web site at www.tcchamber.org.
